Airships

The Royal Exploration Corps quest for travel finds the Commander and Doctor Shortbottom visiting dirigible trials at a countryside airfield in North West England. The trials being hosted by the Air Battalion Royal Engineers demonstrating rigid lighter than air ships. The pair known for their interest in air travel and exploration believe airships to be a most splendid platform for elite travel as well as aerial cartography. Cartography being a specialty of Doctor Shortbottom.

The two were impressed with the technology, even foreseeing a way to incorporate a form of Aerial Aviary to extend the already astounding range of the Corps - 1st Signal Division Blue Footed Boobys. In addition, the more gentle transport of provisions such as those from Shortbottom Distillates via air, versus that of the sea was thought to be a most useful. Notes and photographs were made, and official blueprints were collected. These were presented to Miss Elektra and Miss Architiki for their review. Their design and engineering forte culminating in a possible stamp of approval would be necessary before consideration of the building of an Airship for the Corps.
