“A Commanding Libation for an Adventurous Yule Tide Season”.
Doctor John Nedson Shortbottom III's Shortbottom Distillates has done it again with its second release. A holiday special small batch rum, The Commander! An overproof 151 Demerara style dark rum, this special distillation has a strong and powerful yet thoughtful character, some might say like its namesake. This time of year, when it is cold in much of the northern hemisphere, the Corps suggests perhaps mixing up a nice hot buttered rum using the "Commander".
The R.E.C. had hoped to be in possession of its new dirigible lighter than air craft before the end of the year, to transport this rum as well as other more delicate cargo to outposts around the globe. Unfortunately the craft has not yet been completed. In the meantime shipments are being made by Black Pearl Shipping Co., J.N.C., as well as Pancho Barnes Air Services. Please examine the R.E.C. Journal often for shipping updates, as well as monitoring the Radiotelegraph system. Most outposts will have their shipment before December 24th, though the current Antarctic Expedition will be delayed in receiving their request due to a polar bear problem at Ellefsen Harbour.
